Members' Area
If you are an Egyptian staying in any region of North America, then you
are eligible for a membership in ESANA. According to your reason of
stay, you are either eligible for a member A, B or C membership.
ESANA membership is classified as:
- First: Working Membership: Any graduate student in
the USA or Canada who is studying for a degree higher than a bachelor's
or license. It includes students in the Channel System, as well as other
types of supervision and missions. It is divided into:
- Active Member 'A': those students who are
under the supervision of the Egyptian Cultural & Educational Bureau (ECEB),
i.e. has a file and a file number. 'A' members are eligible to vote
and be nominated for all positions in the ESANA.
- Active Member 'B': those students who are
NOT under the supervision of the ECEB. 'B' members are eligible for
voting and nomination for all positions except for President.
- Second: Associate Membership: includes:
- Companions of the Active Member as husband, wife,
parents and children older than 16 years of age;
- Postdoctoral Students and their companions;
- Resident Egyptians living in the vicinity of the
ESANA Chapter and their spouses - as long as they carry the Egyptian
Citizenship.
- Students who receive the Ph.D. after they receive
the degree.
- English Language students and non-degree
scholars/students.
'C' Members are not eligible to vote or nominate on
all ESANA levels and positions. Yet, the ESANA may assign a 'C' member
to occupy an ESANA position except the President. During that period,
the 'C' member is eligible to vote.
In addition, 'A' & 'B' members are eligible for a
financial support in specific situations through a
social program, while all the members
('A', 'B' & 'C') are eligible for
joining our elite mailing list.
