Mailing List Membership

ESANA Net is an  e-mailing lists that serves as a method of communication and interaction between the ESANA members, where they can discuss and propose different opinions that affect all the aspects of life. Currently we have two mailing lists, members@esana.org and news@esana.org. to check the rules for using both mailing lists, please read below.

ESANA membership is open to all Egyptian fellows studying or doing research in the United States or Canada. A special membership is available for Egyptian professionals who have previously conducted studies or research in the United States or Canada.

To join the list, you should agree with the ESANA Bylaws, plus the following rules:

• Complete the online ESANA Registration Form;
• You are responsible for completeness and accuracy of data provided in your application;
• All applications are subject to approval by membership committee;
• You will receive an email from postmaster@esana.org to notify you when your application is approved.

By applying for ESANA membership you agree to abide by all of the rules and policies implemented by ESANA.

Mailing Lists Rules

Based on the request of some members, the approval of the ESANA executive committee (EC), and for the best of our members a new mailing list (news@esana.org) has been created, while the old one is still functioning. The purpose of this new mailing list is to prevent our members’ email inboxes from getting showered with emails that are not important to them. The rules for using the old (members@esana.org) and the new (news@esana.org) lists are given below, and we really urge every member to abide by those rules.

• The old mailing list (members@esana.org) will be dedicated to official emails only, non-official emails will not be allowed to pass though this mailing list.
• The new mailing list (news@esana.org) will be dedicated to non-official emails.
• By default it is assumed that you are not subscribed to the new mailing list (news@esana.org). So, to subscribe to the new mailing list please send an email to science@esana.org with the email address that you would like to be added to the list, and the subject of your email must be “New Mailing List Subscription”.
• Official emails are considered to be the emails send by the EC to the members, or emails from members seeking official information, or a member would like to share important official information with other members.
• Examples for non-official emails are: a member would like to share an article in a newspaper with the rest of the members; a member seeking some help with a software; a member would like to inform other members with some useful links and web sites. These are just examples and not everything, so we ask everyone to use his/her judgment before deciding which mailing list to use.
