Winners of ESANA Awards and Travel Grants
Dear ESANA members,
ESANA executive committee is pleased to announce the winners for ESANA awards. We have received multiple applications for the different awards. All applications were reviewed by the ESANA EC, and decisions were made by majority voting.
ESANA Service Award: Abdullah Galaa Abdelaal, University of Toronto
Best ESANA Unit Award: University of Alberta, Edmonton
ESANA Research Award: Mohamed Salah Eldin Abdel–Hakeem,University of Montreal

I have never heard about these grants! Did you post them to certain members? What are th criteria of choice? I think this should be announced to all members ...
The original announcement was sent to members list, the same one used to send the digest. If you have received this digest, then you should have received the announcement (check your junk mail folder).

The awards were also published on the ESANA website.
There was no secrecy what so ever.

The eligibility and requirements were clear in the award announcement. You can review them at the ESANA website (www.esana.org).
All applications were reviewed by ESANA EC members. Selection was made by majority voting.
The EC would be glad to clarify anything upon request. The next net meeting will be held on Sunday October 19th, 8:30pm eastern time. Any ESANA member is welcome to attend the meeting.
